Savings plan
A regular purchase of a fixed amount, for example monthly into an ETF.
With a savings plan you buy at fixed intervals for a fixed amount, for example 100 € a month into an ETF or a share, without worrying about timing.
Because the amount stays the same, you automatically buy more units when prices are low and fewer when they are high (cost averaging). A savings plan and targeted purchases after dips are not mutually exclusive; many investors combine both.
