Coin (cryptocurrency)
A digital currency such as Bitcoin or Ether, traded around the clock.
Coins such as Bitcoin or Ether are digital assets recorded on a blockchain. There is no company with revenue and profit behind them; their price depends only on supply and demand.
Coins trade every day around the clock and usually swing much more than shares. That is why DipCatcher uses the 30-day high for coins instead of the 6-week high. Measures such as the P/E ratio or dividends do not exist for coins.
