Securities account
The account at your broker that holds your securities.
A securities account (custody account) holds your securities. When you buy a share it is booked in; when you sell, it is booked out and the proceeds go to your cash account.
The securities belong to you, not the bank: if the broker goes bust, they remain your property. DipCatcher runs no accounts and holds no money. Under "My trades" you can record your purchases for your own overview only.
